A recent discovery has left the Yale community spellbound! Nestled within the lower garden of Rose Alumni House, a secret alley serves as a mystical gateway to the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The enchanted alley, previously unknown to most, was uncovered by a group of adventurous alumni who were exploring the garden. They found that tapping a specific brick in the garden wall and whispering the incantation "Boolus boolus," revealed a hidden passage leading directly to the magical realm of Hogwarts.

"I couldn't believe my eyes when the alleyway appeared before us," said one of the alumni, who wished to remain anonymous. "We followed the path, passing by whimsical shops selling spell books and magical artifacts, until we reached the grand entrance of Hogwarts itself."

Further investigation by curious faculty members revealed that the connection between Yale and Hogwarts has long been kept secret. The enchanted alley has served as a conduit between the two esteemed institutions since Yale’s founding in 1701.

Professor Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, confirmed the existence of the enchanted alley in a rare correspondence with the Yale Alumni Association. "The magical bond between Yale and Hogwarts runs deep, and the discovery of the enchanted alley is a testament to our shared history of wisdom and wonder," remarked Dumbledore.

The YAA is currently partnering with the Hogwarts Alumni Association to recognize dual degree holders and welcome these alumni to the Yale community. Discussions are underway to expand Yale’s Cross Campus platform to include Hogwarts alumni.

News of the enchanted alley has sparked excitement and curiosity across campus, with students and faculty alike expressing eagerness to explore the magical realm of Hogwarts and forge new connections with their counterparts in the wizarding world.

In light of this extraordinary discovery, plans are already underway to integrate elements of the wizarding world into Yale's campus. The historic Yale Bowl is set to undergo a transformation, becoming a state-of-the-art Quidditch field where students can engage in the exhilarating wizarding sport. Additionally, 1201 Chapel Street will be repurposed as the Great Yale Owlery, home to a variety of magical owl companions for students and faculty.

"We are thrilled to embrace the enchantment of Hogwarts and weave it into the fabric of Yale's rich heritage," said Lucy E. Vera ’97, the newly appointed Director of Wizarding Engagement. "The enchanted alley represents a bridge between two worlds, fostering creativity, curiosity, and a sense of wonder among our community."

As students and faculty prepare to embark on magical adventures through the enchanted alley, the spirit of collaboration and exploration between Yale and Hogwarts promises to usher in a new era of discovery and magic on campus.
